I was born in New London, Connecticut as my father was stationed there in the Navy. After leaving the service shortly thereafter, my family moved several times while growing up until we settled in Poway California. I graduated from Poway High School in 1987 and began working as a purchasing agent for the family business. Melissa and I met through DeMolay and Jobs Daughters and were married in 1992. Having worked for the family business for fourteen years, I decided it was time for a change and switched companies, remaining in purchasing and operations for a structural steel company in San Diego. In 2006 with our family growing we felt seemingly trapped by an oppressive housing market and an ever-crowding school system. Seeking some relief from the bustle of southern California, we looked to Kimberly with its wonderful schools, affordable housing and quaint small-town charm. I remained self-employed as a purchasing consultant for a couple of years before rejoining the workplace at Glanbia Foods Inc in 2010. I’ve been with Glanbia now for two years in their corporate purchasing department and really enjoy working for such an esteemed member of our community. Our two children, Nathan and Caitlin are thriving and Melissa and I are grateful each day that we made the move to settle here in Kimberly. I am deeply honored to be afforded the opportunity to serve the community in which I live and look forward to the next four years working with my fellow Council members and Mayor.
