How Hard is Kimberly's Water
Kimberly's water is hard. Because we gather water from multiple ground water sources, our water can vary slightly in hardness.

As water travels over or through the ground, it dissolves naturally occurring minerals such as calcium and magnesium. These minerals are what makes water hard or soft. In general, water from wells contains more minerals because the groundwater is exposed to the minerals longer.

Water Sources
Although we treat our water for various constituents, we do not treat for hardness. Our water being hard is typically around 142 as CaCO3. The chart should aid you in setting up your water softener.
A question that we are routinely asked is, "What is the fluoride level in our water"? The answer is .5 mg/l.

If you feel you need to soften your water, you may wish to consult with your physician prior to contacting one of the many water softener providers, for information about how to lessen your water's hardness.
