Salary range $2211 to $3455 DOE, plus benefit package. Closing date

Position Open
The City of Kimberly, Idaho is happy to announce an opportunity for employment as the City’s Planning and Zoning Permit Technician/Code Enforcement/Community Service Officer. A successful candidate will serve as a ‘first contact’ for members of the public seeking City Code information.
This classification requires the ability to perform moderately complex code administration and a full range of support services while assisting the public. The employee is responsible for issuing and receiving a wide variety of applications and permits, coordinating the processing of said permits, and maintaining related records. The employee is also expected to provide information to the public on various permit requirements and related issues. The work is performed according to established City policies and procedures and the employee is expected to work independently. The position is subject to a minimum of direct supervision and allows for a marked level of creativity with regards to establishing and implementing procedures.
The City of Kimberly encourages ongoing education and training, assistance is available to a successful candidate for the purposes of achieving and maintaining the required ICC Permit Technician Certification. A person seeking this role should posses a high-level of initiative with regards to the completion of tasks not specifically assigned. This position provides an opportunity to utilize existing organizational and time-management skills as well as gain new skills through educational opportunities encouraged by the City.
