Job Summary: The Kimberly Police Department is seeking motivated, dedicated, and community-oriented individuals to join our team as Police Officers. As a Police Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining public safety, enforcing laws, and building trust within the Kimberly community. You will be responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, conducting investigations, patrolling assigned areas, and engaging with the community to prevent crime and enhance the quality of life in Kimberly. Key Responsibilities: - Enforce local, state, and federal laws while protecting the rights of citizens. - Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service. - Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and prepare detailed reports. - Patrol assigned areas by foot, vehicle, or other means to prevent and detect criminal activity. - Engage with community members to build trust, educate on safety practices, and foster positive relationships. - Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations. - Participate in ongoing training and professional development. - Uphold the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism. 

Qualifications: - Must be at least 21 years of age. - High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field (preferred). - Must be a U.S. citizen or have legal authorization to work in the United States. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, physical fitness test, and psychological evaluation. - No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal histories. - Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. - Commitment to serving the community with integrity and respect. Training

The Training Unit supplies both in-service and specialized training to the officers of the department. This includes firearms and tactical training. All officers are required to complete in-service training each year as well as specialized training in areas including, defensive tactics, firearms, simulated firearms, and legal updates.
