1. What are the fees for new building permits?

Building permit fees are based on the project size. In addition to the building permit fee, refundable deposit, water and sewer hook up fee, and construction water deposit

2. What are the set backs for residential?

Twenty five fee (25') from property line abutting road/roads. Seven (7') from side property. Ten (10') from rear property.

3. Where can I put up a fence?

The fencemust be on your property. A fence permit is required prior to installing a fence. There is no charge for the fence permit application. 2-3 days prior to issuance

4. How high can my fence be?

On the side and rear or property it can be minimum of six (6') feet (anything over must be engineered stamped). Front yard can only be a maximum of three (3') feet high.

5. Do I need a permit for a shed?

No, if it is less than 200 sq. ft. We ask that you contact the P & Z Department regarding setbacks from property lines before constructing or placing the shed.

6. I am a general construction contractor, am I required to register?

All general (construction) contractors are required to be registered/licensed with the State of Idaho.
